The Open Path Mobility Foundation was created to help families by putting our 3D-printing capabilities to work, made possible through the generous support of our volunteers, donors and our partnership with MakeGood.

That mission has given us the opportunity to help six families and to meet some truly wonderful people along the way. We want to extend a special thank-you to the families of Tessa, Hailey, Ailah, Rosabelle, Madeleine, and Amír for allowing us to be a small part of their journeys.

Unfortunately, making all of this possible requires a substantial commitment from people willing to volunteer their time, along with the financial resources needed to build devices and maintain these services. We had hoped to secure sponsorships that would eventually allow us to employ like-minded staff and scale our operations. We still believe that is possible, but it is a long-term goal, and the resources available to sustain our current level of service have been exhausted.

Because of this, we are saddened to announce that Open Path Mobility Foundation will be pausing its services for now, with the expectation that we will cease operations entirely by the end of the year unless we are able to find new opportunities, funding, or partnerships that make continuing sustainable.

Thanks to MakeGood’s tremendous efforts to bring makers together, we know there are many people throughout the maker community who remain ready and willing to help families in need, even when we cannot.

We are incredibly proud that we chose to jump in and help where we could. Whatever comes next, we will carry with us the families we have helped and the wonderful people we have met and worked alongside. We will forever be grateful for the opportunity to have been involved.

Helping others has always been at the heart of what brought our team together, so even if Open Path Mobility Foundation ultimately closes, you will likely continue to see us finding ways to help individually wherever we can.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, trusted us, donated, volunteered, shared our mission, or simply encouraged us along the way. We could not have done any of this without you
